The Post Production Module in PAI provides specialized tools for managing the post-production phase of your projects. This module offers streamlined access to post-specific budget items, deliverable tracking, and resource management. ## Post Production Navigation To access the Post Production module: 1. Navigate to the Production section in the left sidebar 2. Select the "Post" tab at the top of the production interface 3. View all post-production days and deliverables Alternatively, post-production days can be accessed directly from the project calendar. ## Key Components ### Overview Tab - **Purpose**: Centralized location for internal post-production notes - **Features**: - Rich text editor for comprehensive formatting - Internal documentation space for post-production team - Ability to document post-production workflows and requirements - **Usage Examples**: - Post-production schedules - Editing notes - Color grading specifications - Internal delivery requirements > [!tip] Documentation best practices > Use the Overview tab to document your post-production workflow, technical specifications, and delivery requirements. This ensures all team members have access to the same information and helps maintain consistency throughout the post-production process. ### Budget Tab - **Purpose**: Filtered view of the project budget showing only post-production expense lines - **Key Features**: - Displays only items categorized as post-production - Provides the same editing capabilities as the main budget module - Allows post supervisors to focus on relevant expense lines without navigating the full budget - **Note**: All changes made here synchronize with the main budget module; this is simply a filtered view for convenience ### Links Tab - **Purpose**: Centralized repository for external documentation and reference materials - **Usage Process**: - Click "Add Link" to create a new entry - Paste the URL in the designated field - Customize the display name for easy reference (e.g., "Client Creative," "Scripts," "Reference Footage") - **Benefit**: Provides a single location to access all external resources related to post-production ### Files Area - **Purpose**: Storage for project-related documents and assets - **Supported Files**: PDF documents, image files, and other small project management assets - **Use Cases**: - Post-production briefs - Client feedback documents - Reference materials - Technical specifications ## Deliverables Management The Deliverables tab provides a comprehensive system for tracking all project deliverables: ### Creating Deliverables - Type the deliverable name and press Enter/Return to create the deliverable - Configure additional properties in the corresponding row ### Deliverable Properties Each deliverable can have the following properties: - **Due Date**: Sets deadline and creates calendar entry - **Length**: Duration of the deliverable - **Aspect Ratio**: Format specifications - **Versions**: Tracking for multiple iterations - **SRT/CC Specs**: Subtitle and closed captioning requirements - **Notes**: General information field > [!info] Calendar integration > Due dates automatically appear in the project calendar, allowing you to visualize deliverable deadlines alongside production days. ### Deliverable Status Tracking Track the progress of each deliverable through customizable status options: - Not Started - In Progress - Client Review - Revisions - Approved - Delivered Filter deliverables by status to quickly identify those requiring attention. ## Post Days Management The Days tab provides a management interface for post-production days: - **Day Types**: Displays days categorized as "Post" type in the system - **Functionality**: - Assign calendar dates to post days - Link post days to specific budget expense lines - Facilitate vendor billing against assigned post-production days - **Workflow Integration**: - Post days can be moved between dates in the calendar - Changes sync with budget expense line assignments - Supports the same day-to-expense line relationship as production days > [!warning] Day type conversion > When you convert a day from "Shoot" to "Post" type, it will move from the Production tab to the Post Production tab.
